Cherie and Stuart 26th November

Cherie and Stuart first enquired about having their wedding reception at Radcliffes in January 2010, and luckily enough we had a date still available in November that suited them!

Throughout the planning process they met with me approximately 4 times, but it was after the first meeting I knew the wedding would be something special. Both Stuart and Cherie wanted a relaxed casual affair with as much fun and laughs as you can pack into 6 hours. After consultations with the chefs here at Radcliffes we were able to design a menu to suit their needs. The menu consisting of canapés on arrival, a standing entrée and buffet main, was complimented by the last minute addition of a cup cake bar, where guests could help themselves to a variety of different cupcakes including banana, citrus and poppy seed, white mud cake and more. Tracy’s cakes did a wonderful job of setting up a little bit of dessert heaven in the courtyard, and the guests sure did enjoy it! In fact, I caught Cherie’s grandparents sneaking out with quite a few to have with a cup of tea when they got home.

The wedding was made all the more wonderful with the rectangle table centre pieces to match the rectangle tables Cherie and Stuart had selected. The napkins were tied with a black ribbon, each adorning the guest’s name. The bridal table was a large diamond shape placed in the centre of the conservatory garden, seating 8 people. Cherie and Stuart had not only their bridal attendants at the table but close friends too. The position of the table meant that the bridal party was surrounded by their guests.

As the guests mingled throughout the start of the night they were entertained with some laid back music from DJ Scott (Total Party Entertainment), and enjoyed some fantastic refreshments chosen from our basic beverage package.

As the night went on the guests enjoyed the scrumptious buffet, followed by the speeches, where I am sure I saw some tears from the parents! The Bride and Groom had very early on in the planning process decided a bridal waltz was not on the cards, instead they invited all their guests to the dance floor to play their part in the first dance of the newly weds.

Cherie and Stuart partied the night away and were the last to leave on what was I’m sure the most fantastic night!!! We all wish them the very best for their future and hope the island honeymoon was as relaxing as it sounded.

All my best wishes. Bec
